Viridiana started doing yoga as part of her training as professional dancer

at the age of 8.  She remembers from those early days how the practice of

yoga provided her with an opportunity for introspection and peace within

her physically demanding schedule.

 

After 12 years working as a professional dancer, Viridiana graduated as a

Bachelor of Arts in Pedagogy of Dance and left professional dance to start

a family and focus on her yogic practice. She sees herself as a student of

yoga for life and regards her teaching as a deepening of her own practice.  

 

Her dance background provides a dynamic and fluid focus for her classes.

 She likes to approach the Asanas in different ways each day, using

precise transitions and observing the spaces that carry us from one place

to another.  Her emphasis in posture alignment is not only better for a safe

practice but also invites us to arrive at inward stillness and meditation.

Viridiana teach Hatha vinyasa yoga and dance at her studio in Santa

Gertrudis in Spanish and english and has availability for private lesson

through the year.
